Inktober is the creation of Jake Parker, an illustrator based in Utah. The idea is that every day in the month of October, you simply create a drawing in ink. You don’t have to be a professional artist – you don’t even have to be any good at drawing – it’s just a challenge for the sake of doing it!
October 2016 marked my first attempt at doing the full 31 days. The results are below, and on the whole I’m quite pleased. Each picture was based on the prompt word for the day from Jake’s site, and some definitely turned out better than others.
All the images were drawn on paper with regular writing pens (no fancy arty stuff round here!) and the last one had colour added with pencil and wax crayons.
